KEEPING IT NO OR LOW

January often brings quieter times in pubs and bars, so this year we've taken it upon ourselves to be proactive in our efforts. Over time We've been able to establish excellent relationships with breweries, which have, in turn, allowed for both brilliant and exciting partnerships to occur.

Our efforts to settle on a non-alcoholic offering has somewhat been in the back of our minds over the past couple of years but is something we are passionate about growing through the business. With Dry January becoming increasing popular and the health benefits associated with clean drinking, we've created a bespoke low and no alcohol menu to sit in our bar for the first time.

Let's begin with our headline for this year Small Beer, whose 2.5% 'Session Pale' will feature across all the bars. Having been awarded a B CORP certificate in 2019, Small Beer meets the highest standard in terms of environmental and social impact. As a brand they put great focus on sustainability, having designed a brewing kit that required just 1 ½ pints of water while also reducing carbon footprint by packaging sustainably and cutting greenhouse emissions by using renewable. energy.

Next up Lucky Saint. As the first official dry January non-alcoholic beer, the team source the finest ingredients, create their own yeast and tailor every part of the brewing process.

Finally, it wouldn't be right if we didn't discuss Guinness 0.0. Our bar Mc & Sons have recently installed a new micro-draught machine, which brings you the delicious taste that is Guinness 0.0. The cold filtration process ensures you get the same beautifully smooth taste, perfectly balanced flavour and unique dark colour of Guinness Draught, just without the alcohol.

While we have a number of quirky cans and bottled stocked in the fridges it is not just beer that forms the January menu. The bar team at Jacks has constructed a well thought out mocktail menu while The Ring will be serving non-alcoholic gin and tonics throughout the month.

The introduction of these beers, cocktails and other drinks to the menu allows for greater choice. We open our doors to each and every individual whether that be a regular enjoying their favourite pint of cask ale or a new group looking for a round of alcohol-free beers. We know that the pub is the best place to be!
